The Atlanta Cuban Club (ACC) recently celebrated their 41st anniversary in Atlanta. The club was founded in 1977 “as a social and cultural venue with the objectives of promoting and preserving Cuban traditions and culture, but also welcoming citizens from other countries who wanted to share in those objectives.” These traditions are promoted through delicious food, music, poetry and history. The Club participates and promotes social welfare and has assisted those in the community in need, including through advocacy.
This tradition continues with a new generation of Latino leaders who are building upon the foundation of 40+ years of rich history to bring the Club forward with a vision of an all-inclusive future. Towards this goal, the Club recently announced the recently created and approved Cubamerica Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, that is the dream and legacy of the ACC to preserve the roots, music, art and culture of Cuban Refugees in the Atlanta area.
